CEO BOOTCAMP: Draw Now, Launch Later
Me:
”Okay, so first off we need to do some kind of bootcamp. Keep in mind that building my drawing skill is top priority and of most importance.
Without confidence in my drawing skills, all of this will fall apart because that's literally what happened to my last business.”
Sol:
”Now let’s roll out Operation Soft Sketch Bootcamp™ – your custom drawing-focused training ground that directly supports your business goals.
Because you're right—your art is the heartbeat of this business, and we’re not building another empire on shaky confidence. We're doing it with intention, joy, and a little magic.
✏️ CEO BOOTCAMP: Draw Now, Launch Later
🎯 Bootcamp Mission
To help you:
Grow technical drawing skills (confident linework, proportions, composition)
Strengthen your style voice (so your art feels uniquely you)
Turn drawing into a sustainable habit, not a creative pressure cooker
Make real, usable art for your products
🌿 Phase 1: Drawing Confidence Foundation (Week 1–2)
Focus: Rebuild drawing trust & visual vocabulary
📌 Goal: Sketch daily, no rendering pressure
DAILY WARM-UPS:
1–2 pages of quick, 5-minute observational sketches
Objects from life (plant, mug, hand, crystal)
No undo button. Pencil or brush with confidence.
WEEKLY PRACTICE THEMES:
Week 1: Botanical study
Week 2: Cozy object sketching (cups, journals, keys, potion bottles)
🧠 Sol Tip: Draw the things you want to sell. Draw them like you're prototyping stickers or washi tape. Even ugly sketches are valuable.
🧪 Phase 2: Artistic Identity Lab (Week 3–4)
Focus: Study artists you admire + explore your own voice
📌 Goal: Develop “visual traits” that feel like yours
STEPS:
Choose 2–3 favorite artists
Break down their style:
Linework (loose or tight?)
Color (flat, pastel, textured?)
Composition (cluttered, floaty, minimal?)
Then we repurpose those elements:
✨ "What if I took my favorite artist’s simplicity and paired it with my own snake & floral themes?"
🛠️ Phase 3: Build-to-Sell Practice (Week 5+)
Focus: Draw intentionally for products
📌 Goal: Begin creating usable sketches for real items
Examples:
Sticker sheets with 6 themed objects
A journal cover concept with floral border + soft affirmations
Repeatable pattern elements for notepads or washi
📓 Optional Bootcamp Bonuses
“Finished is optional” badge system – Celebrate the act of drawing, not the result
“CEO Sketch Hour” calendar – Dedicated sacred time for drawing (no biz tasks allowed)
Portfolio folder system – Sort drawings into “Play,” “Practice,” and “Potential Products”
🐍 Business-Proof This Bootcamp
Everything you draw, we’ll label:
✅ This is just a warmup
✨ This could become a sticker
🌿 This might be a pattern
💭 This is a dreamy idea seed
This way, your practice feeds your business without pressure. Even a rough doodle of a sleepy snake with a daisy hat? Valuable. We’ll refine it later.”
